Day 361 - Father Bot 2000
If they could teach a robot to say phrases such as, "If you only knew how good you have it.", "I'll give you something to cry about." or "Don't you take that tone with me." I'd be out of a parenting job.

Day 358 - Hardest Working Man During The Holidays
Santa must be one tired bowl full of jelly at the end of Christmas. Merry Christmas everyone. Hope you had a wonderful holiday.

This was inspired by my friend Randy Link and his awesome art gallery show at Lanesplitters in Emeryville.

Day 354 - Employee #274110
Tomorrow is Louis Jones' last day at Tippett Studio. The all powerful tractor beam from across the Bay has sucked him right in. Louie is an amazing animator/artist who will be missed. Good Luck Louie!

Day 346 - Sloth
Some of you may remember that I play Fantasy Football. Yes, I know it's not real and no we don't use multi-sided dice. Anyway... Tonight I lost to a man who resembles Sloth from the "Goonies". Now that I think about it his last name is very close to "Fratelli". Hmmm.....

Day 343 - Date Night
It's a rare night that parents of two children are able to have a date night. Thank you Grandma and Pops for allowing us to spend the night reminding ourselves why we were married in the first place.

Day 337 - Check Out Line
As a parent have you ever had that moment when you're waiting in the check out line and someone different that what your child is used to stands in line behind you? It usually happens when you're not looking and you turn around just in time to hear something like "Why are your jeans ripped?" or "What is that in your face?" or "Daddy says tattoos are for pirates and criminals."

Day 331 - Geeks
I don't know about you, but I'm loving the show "The Walking Dead". I haven't read the comic that it's based off of, but I'm definitely going back and giving it a go once this season is over.
Day 329 - Safe At Home
Did I mention that flying with two kids is tough? Yeah. Luckily my son loves movies so he was able to sit and watch a DVD while my wife and I played "Pass the Daughter" for the entire flight. However we made it!
Day 325 - Let Vacation Begin
The first day of vacation was a doozy. Flying with two kids is a tough way to go, but we managed and it was a LOT better than driving.

Day 324 - Unplugged
It's time for me to unplug. I'm taking this week off from the computer and am going to recharge the old fashioned way by NOT plugging in. However I will still be drawing everyday. I'll post all the daily drawings when I plug back in on Friday. Have a great week, Thanksgiving, and long weekend.

Day 323 - Delirious
What a day! Up at 5AM. On a plane by 8AM. In Burbank by 9:30. The CTN Expo was awesome. Saw some amazing artwork. Pascal Campion gave me an amazing piece of his art because I'm friends with Pete Kelly and Pascal's a REALLY nice guy. Had an amazing time doing the animals and creature shot breakdown talk with Animation Mentor, Bobby Beck, Pete Kelly, JD Haas, and Brian Mendenhall. Chatted with some enthusiastic students. Hung out with Geoff Wheeler, Carlos Baena, and Kevin Freeman. Had a couple of drinks. Jumped back on a plane. Home by 9:30. I'm a bit delirious, but what an awesome time!! Thank you Animation Mentor. I'd do it again in a heartbeat.

Day 322 - Nice Puppy
Tomorrow I'm heading down to the CTN Expo in Burbank. I'm going to be doing a talk with Animation Mentor about animating animals and creatures. If you're in the area, come check out me and Brian Mendenhall of Tippett Studio, Pete Kelly and JD Hass of ILM breaking down shots. I promise you'll enjoy yourself.

Day 318 - Frustrage
My lack of creativity coined a new phrase for me tonight. Frustrage. It's a combination of frustration and rage. Just in case you couldn't figure it out on your own.

Day 317 - Cop Out
Here is why this one is called "Cop Out": No shading, cliche' gag that really isn't funny, it has a COP who's OUT of donuts, and most importantly it's a quick way for me to go watch "Walking Dead" without staying up too late. I'm hoping to get some "Sportscenter" in before bed too.
Day 316 - Stuffed
A big "Thank You" goes out to the Kellys for feeding the Browns on Saturday. Afterward I felt like I was about to burst at the seams. Thanks guys, we had a great time.

Day 314 - Golden Gate
Today I took a day off from work and enjoyed the Bay Area. San Francisco is a beautiful city. The weather was perfect. I went and had lunch with my friend Pete Kelly at ILM and then headed down to Crissy Field to do some sketching. Here's a quick sketch I did of the most famous landmark on the West Coast. I highly recommend having days like these when you can. It's refreshing.
